About CassianRx

CassianRx is a healthcare technology company on a mission to streamline specialty care. Our ONE Journey™ platform integrates data, workflows, and communication into a single ecosystem — connecting patients, providers, pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and payers in real time.

By reducing administrative burden and fostering transparency across the care continuum, we help healthcare organizations improve therapy access, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes. In short: we're building the connective tissue that makes specialty care work better for everyone in it — especially the patients.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the next chapter of the ONE Journey™ platform. This is a back-end-leaning, full-stack role, and it comes with real ownership — not a ticket queue.

You'll design and develop scalable, secure systems; build the real-time data pipelines that keep patients, providers, and partners in sync; integrate complex data flows across our partner ecosystem; tune application performance; and shape the architectural decisions that determine where the platform goes next. On a small, focused team, the work you do has visible impact from day one.

What You'll Build With

  • Languages: JavaScript, SQL
  • Backend: Node.js / Express
  • Frontend: React.js
  • Data: MySQL; experience with caching layers (Redis) a plus
  • Streaming: Apache Kafka for real-time, event-driven data flow across services
  • Cloud: AWS as our primary hyperscaler — EC2, ECS, SQS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, and the surrounding ecosystem
  • APIs: RESTful design across multiple services
  • Testing: Mocha / Chai for unit and integration coverage
  • Workflow: Git with trunk-based development

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field
  • 5–10 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, and system design
  • Proficient in back-end web development, with a track record of building scalable, secure applications
  • Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and modern development practices
  • Experience designing or operating event-driven systems and real-time data pipelines (Kafka or comparable streaming technologies) a strong plus
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying on a major cloud platform (AWS preferred)
  • Skilled in coding, debugging, and the kind of careful problem-solving that holds up in production
  • A clear communicator who collaborates well with engineers, product partners, and non-technical teammates
  • Someone who takes pride in their craft — clean code, thoughtful design, software worth putting your name on
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare data, or SaaS environments is a plus

Why CassianRx

We're a focused team working on something that matters: making specialty care less fragmented for the patients living through it. If you want real ownership, a stack you can be proud of, and a mission worth showing up for — let's talk.

We're looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to own the infrastructure that the ONE Journey™ platform runs on. In healthcare, uptime isn't a metric on a dashboard — it's a patient waiting on a refill, a provider mid-workflow, a message that has to go out today. Your job is to make sure the platform is there when they need it, resilient when something fails, and secure by default at every layer.

This is a high-ownership role on a small, focused team. You'll design and operate our AWS environments, build the high-availability architecture that keeps critical services online through failures, bake security into the pipeline rather than bolting it on at the end, and set the reliability standards that back our customer SLAs. The decisions you make shape how the whole platform behaves under load and under pressure.

What You'll Own

  • Resilience architecture: Design and operate both active/active and active/passive configurations across regions and availability zones — load balancing, failover, replication, and disaster recovery that hold up under real-world failure.
  • Uptime and SLAs: Stand behind our availability commitments (99.9%+), including the monitoring, alerting, and incident response that keep us ahead of them.
  • Cloud infrastructure: Own our AWS footprint as our primary hyperscaler — provisioning, scaling, cost, and security across the environment.
  • Security by design: Integrate security into every stage of the SDLC — from IaC and pipeline controls to secrets management, network segmentation, and HIPAA-aligned safeguards for PHI.
  • CI/CD and automation: Build and maintain the deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code that let a small team ship safely and often.
  • Observability: Give the team the metrics, logs, and traces to understand the system in production and resolve incidents fast.

What You'll Work With

  • Cloud: AWS as our primary hyperscaler — EC2, ECS, SQS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, and the surrounding ecosystem
  • High Availability: Active/active and active/passive designs, multi-AZ and multi-region failover, disaster recovery
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Containers & Orchestration: Docker, ECS
  • Data: MySQL (replication, backup/restore), Redis
  • Streaming: Apache Kafka for real-time, event-driven data flow
  • CI/CD: Automated build, test, and deploy pipelines with Git and trunk-based development
  • Observability & Security tooling: Monitoring, logging, alerting, and cloud security controls across the stack
  • Platform context: The services you support are built on Node.js / Express and React.js

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 5–10 years in DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure engineering
  • Deep AWS experience as a hyperscaler — you've architected, secured, and operated production workloads at scale, not just spun up instances
  • Proven track record designing active/active and active/passive high-availability systems, failover, and disaster recovery
  • Strong foundation in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD automation, and containerized deployments
  • Security-minded by default — you think about attack surface, least privilege, and data protection as part of the design, not an afterthought
  • Comfortable owning incident response and being a calm, capable presence when production is on the line
  • A clear communicator who partners well with engineers, product, and non-technical teammates
  • Someone who takes pride in their craft — infrastructure that's reliable, observable, and worth putting your name on
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare data, or regulated SaaS environments is a strong plus
